Beer-baked pork chops
Beer-baked pork chops
The pork chop, also called pork knot, is a real must in Italian cuisine. This very tasty pork steak on the bone is obtained from the loin of the animal and is kept soft and juicy during cooking thanks to the tasty external layer of fat: it is the pork equivalent of the ribeye and lends itself to numerous recipes , both grilled and pan-fried.
Pork chops are an unforgettable item at typical summer barbecues, but are cheaper than beef ribs. Pork knots satisfy all the family's palates in every season: they are truly a tasty cut and easy to cook. |
Among the many quick recipes with pork that we can find for cooking chops, we have found a version that will give your meat a taste that recalls English taverns: pork chops with red beer. Obviously, you can decide to use the craft beer you prefer - or that you have available at home - the result will be equally delicious and also suitable for children because the alcohol will evaporate during cooking.

Let's start by salting, peppering and flouring our chops well. In a non-stick pan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil, add the meat and brown it on both sides for about 4 minutes.
Slice our white onions and add them to the meat in the pan and let them brown for a few minutes over medium heat, stirring everything often.
Let's now add our beer and let the alcohol evaporate well, as soon as it has started cooking again, add a glass of meat broth and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
After this time, we check the cooking, add salt, pepper and arrange our beer knots on a plate with the cooking juices and some cherry tomatoes or potatoes to accompany them. Serve immediately piping hot.
