Oriental style beef strips recipe
Ingredients
- strips of beef or rump into slices to cut
- 2 handfuls of cherry tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 slices of fresh ginger
- extra virgin olive oil flavored with chilli pepper
- soy sauce to taste
- a few slices of spring onion
- half a teaspoon of corn starch
- cornstarch or 00 flour to taste
Method
Like any self-respecting recipe, the first step begins with washing the vegetables and fresh spices under plenty of running water. Peel the garlic and ginger and squeeze them, using the tip of a knife or the appropriate tool.
Cut the steaks into small strips about 1.5 cm wide and coat in cornstarch. In a pan, heat a couple of tablespoons of flavored extra virgin olive oil and brown the garlic and ginger for a couple of minutes over a high heat.
Remove the garlic and keep the ginger. Pour in the strips of beef and sear them on both sides for a good minute. Add the cherry tomatoes, after cutting them in half, lower the heat and leave on the heat for a couple of minutes.
Blend everything with two or three tablespoons of soy sauce to which you have added half a teaspoon of corn starch, taking care to raise the heat and not to remain on the heat for more than 30 seconds.
