Indian-style Italian meat tartare

Ingredients

  • 200 g of beef for tartare - minced meat or rump chopped with a knife
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 mint leaf
  • 1 sprig of marjoram
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sprig of parsley
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper and hot pepper
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Curry
  • ½ tablespoon of pine nuts

Easy process

For one person, add the oil to a pan and cook over a low heat until you obtain a thick sauce, the 2 tomatoes removed from the skin and seeds with all the botanicals: bay leaf, thyme, garlic, marjoram, mint, cayenne pepper, spicy chili pepper, parsley, salt and pepper.

While cooking, crush the tomatoes to obtain a smooth sauce. Mix 1 teaspoon of curry and the finely chopped pine nuts. Finally, let it cool and mix everything with the Italian beef, serve at the table after leaving it in the fridge for a few minutes with some vegetables or rocket leaves on the side.

Beef carpaccio with mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 400 g of fresh Italian rump or prime beef steaks
  • 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon chopped thyme
  • ½ tablespoon chopped rosemary

Method

  • 400 g of beef fillet cut into carpaccio
  • 100 g of mushrooms (Champignon or Porcini)
  • fresh truffle or truffle oil to taste
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste

The variant: if some of your guests don't like truffles, or if you prefer to serve a simpler recipe, you can replace it with very thin slices of Parmigiano Reggiano and serve the meat on a bed of fresh rocket.
